Terms and Conditions

Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Termsand Conditions. Participation in this competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Competition commencesat 9am AEST Monday 30 August 2021. Only online entries are permitted and close at 11.59pm AEST on Friday 29 October 2021

Entry is only open to Australian residents who are a student in New South Wales primary schools that are confirmed to participate in The Marine Team Livestream Events. A list of participating schools can be obtained by emailing schools@nationaltheatre.com.au.

Eligible Entrants must have permission and consent from their parent/legal guardian or their nominated teacher or home educator to enter and further, the parent/legal guardian and nominated teacher or home educator must consent to these Terms and Conditions. Parents/legal guardians and teachers/home educators may be required by the Promoter to enter into a further agreement as evidence of consent to the minor entering this promotion.

Employees (and their immediate families) of The National Theatre for Children (the Promoter), NSW Ports, and agencies associated with this competition are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.

Only one competition entry per person.

No responsibility can be taken for entries lost or not received.

The winner/s of the shared prize pool of $500 will be the correct result, or if no correct entry is submitted, the closest result/s submitted.

In the event of multiple entrants with the same winning result, they will all share equally in the prize pool of $500.

Rewards are provided by The National Theatre for Children and are not affiliated with NSW Ports.

This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the Winner/s.

The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity ofentries and Eligible Entrants (including their identity, age and place of residence and schooling) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.

Winner/s will be announced in week commencing 15 November 2021. They will be contacted directly by the Promoter and their names will be published on The Marine Team website no later than week commencing 22 November 2021. If any of the chosen winners do not respond within two weeks, an alternative winner will be chosen.

Winner/s will share equally in the prize pool of AU$500 (“Cash Prize”) either: (i) awarded as a cheque made payable to the winner/s nominated parent or legal guardian; or (ii) deposited into the bank account of the winner/s nominated parent or legal guardian. The nominated parent/guardian will select their preferred option for how they wish for the Cash Prize to be awarded, from the two options mentioned above.

If for any reason any winner does not take a prize by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize will be forfeited.

In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency, pandemic or disaster, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition or suspend or modify a prize.

By accepting a prize, each Eligible Entrant, their parent/guardian, and teacher/home educator consent to the Promoter using each of their name, likeness, image and/or voice (including photograph, filmand/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.

Any cost associated with accessing the competition website or submitting an entry is the Eligible Entrant’s and their parent/legal guardian’s responsibility.

Liability for any tax arising out of participation in this promotion (including acceptance of a prize) is the sole responsibility of the relevant winner. Each person should seek independent financial advice in this regard.
